The Eve Mobile Gaming Gadget is a collaboration between Via Technologies and MoMA - Ministry of Mobile Affairs.
The angle of the Eve Game Console is to be close to the Windows PC architecture. Its x86 based and runs embedded Windows XP.
It has a 20GB Hard-drive built-in, USB 2.0 port and 802.11b wireless connectivity. A 4" LCD screen runs at 640x480 resolution. The Eve is powered by a 533-MHz Eden-N Processor and a CN400 digital media chipset from Via Technologies.
The Eve is designed by former Apple designer Thomas Meyerhoffer. Looking at the Game Console it seems you cannot fold it. So there is no way to put it in a pocket, making it not really mobile, or do I miss something here?
The Eve is supposed to be priced under $500 when it ships early next year.
More details on VIA Technology Site and in a story on ExtremeTech. See also MoMA site.
