Swiss town Uitikon is apparently getting the world's first Data Center heating pool.
A data center built by IBM GIB-Services AG recycles the warm air from the air conditioners to heat a swimming pool near by.
The warm air will flow through heat exchangers to warm water that will be pumped into the pool.
The waste heat from the data center could warm 80 houses. This is another example of how some creativity can save energy.
