German SeeReal Technologies showed their new 3D Monitor at the SID conference in Seattle.
The 3D Monitor features supposedly the world's highest 3D resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels on a 20" display and the world's largest sweetspot (for 3d effect). This allows users to move infront of the monitor and still see the image in 3D. This monitor does not need any special glasses to achieve the 3D effect.
Currently the SeeReal monitors sell for about $12,000 and are geared towards research applications. In a yahoo news story, SeeReal sees a consumer model possible in the future.
