Garmin Mobile has a sweet deal that will allow BlackBerry users a lifetime of Gamin satellite navigation on their specific BlackBerry device for the lifetime of that device. The one-time fee for the lifetime service is $99.99.
That is a good price for heavy users of navigation service, so long as you don’t intend on upgrading your phone soon. For the price users get unlimited access to Garmin’s turn-by-turn voice prompted direction service and dynamic content like traffic, weather forecasts, fuel prices and more.
"Garmin is one of the first to offer a one-time purchase navigation package for BlackBerry devices," said Charles Morse, Garmin's director of mobile and online marketing. "Having turn-by-turn directions on a BlackBerry is essential to mobile professionals because it takes the stress out of navigating to that important business meeting or child's soccer game. It helps people arrive at their destination every time, while taking into consideration uncontrollable variables like traffic."
