Windows 7 is the next Windows OS version that will try to make us forget Vista. CNET scored an interview with Windows Development boss Steven Sinofsky to ask some questions about Windows 7.
Sinofsky says that Windows 7 is scheduled for a release about three years after the general availability of Windows Vista. This would mean Windows 7 is coming in 2010. Bill Gates said in April Windows 7 would already come next year.
Overall Sinofsky does not want to say much about what Windows 7 really will be like. I see Windows as being in a really big crisis. I am still on bloody XP. There is still no reason for Vista. I am getting very used to Linux on my cheap-ass Asus Eee PC. I still admire the glory UI of the Macbook my wife is addicted too. Windows 7 needs to be a revelation, or I will still be using XP in 2010.
