Rumors about the new iPhone 2 being thinner than the current iPhone appeared today again. In April we already posted about the iPhone 2 being thinner rumor.
This time CultofMac claims to have information from a software developer who has seen the 3G iPhone.
The site claims that the iPhone 2 would be 22% thinner, have GPS, 16GB or 32GB storage and a better battery life.
This 3G iPhone rumor story also repeats again that the new iPhone will be offered at lower prices through carrier subsidies.
More details on CultofMac. More iPhone 2 / 3G iPhone rumors.
It is not clear yet how Apple will refer to the new iPhone. More reports are appearing now which call the 3G iPhone "iPhone 2". Apple used generations on the iPods, which could be confusing on the 3G iPhone, as the new iPhone would then be called 2G iPhone. Maybe Apple will just stick with iPhone, as it seems they are removing the current version from the market.
