Apple offers iPod Trade-In Program in Japan

the Japanese subsidiary of Apple will begin a trade-in service for iPods starting today.
Apple will offer a maximum of 27,000 yen (
$246) for traded iPods toward the purchase of a new iPod player.
Apple seems to be concerned that old iPod users will switch to the new Sony 20GB Walkman.
The program is also aimed to push sales of the iPod mini that starts in Japan this week as well.
