AT&T said during their earnings call that the new iPhone 3G sold twice as many units in the first 12 days compared to the first generation iPhone a year ago.
AT&T had quite a good quarter not even including the iPhone 3G. AT&T's profit rose by 30% to $3.77 billion.
The carrier could sign an additional 1.2m subscribers during the last quarter.
We can expect a pretty good next quarter that will include the iPhone 3G.
