The WSJ reports that Google and Verizon are close to a search deal.
The deal would make Google's search the default on all mobile devices on the Verizon Wireless network.
The deal is not finalized yet, but it seems Google already beat Microsoft for the Verizon deal.
At a later stage Verizon could also extend the Google services to its broadband service FiOS.
More details on the WSJ.
