When the new iPhone 3G launched many buyers were upset that it did not work with many original iPhone accessories. One of the original iPhone accessories that specifically did not work with the iPhone 3G was the original Bose SoundDock.
Today, Bose announced its new SoundDock Series II Digital music System for iPod and iPhone. The new system is specifically certified to work with the iPhone 3G and is the first SoundDock from Bose certified for Works with iPhone.
Actual pictures of the new SoundDock are not available (the image here is of the original) but Bose says the new SoundDock closely resembles the original. The SoundDock Series II measures 6 5/8-inches high by 12-inches wide and 6 1/2-inches deep. The device will come in gloss black and will ship for $299 starting in early September.
