Asus recently introduced the Asus P552w Glide touch-screen smartphone. This Windows smartphone is already a decent attempt by Asus to make some noise in the smartphone sector.
Digitimes reports that their sources say that Asus may initially sell the Android phones under its own brand in the Taiwan market before also launching customized models for overseas clients.
As you know the T-Mobile G1 is made by HTC. Motorola also confirmed work on Android phones. Samsung and LG are also on the Android band waggon. The most prominent Android avoiders are Nokia, Microsoft, and Apple.
