EA announced yesterday that its Wii and Nintendo DS skateboard game Skate It! is now available on store shelves. The game allows players to pull all sorts of skateboard tricks using the Wii Remote, nunchuck, or DS stylus.
Wii owners who also own Wii Fit can use the Wii Balance Board to control the skateboard. The use of the balance board will add an entirely new dimension to the gameplay. Gamers populate a destroyed San Vanelona city where they skate and try to rise through the ranks to become Thrasher Magazine's Skater of the Year.
“We wanted to reinvigorate the action sports genre for the Nintendo audience,” said Scott Blackwood, Executive Producer, Black Box. “Skate It is not only true to the soul of the Skate franchise, but also leverages everything unique about the Wii and Nintendo DS, making it one of the best and most intuitive skateboarding games for the Nintendo platforms.”
