You sit with the joystick-like handle between your extended legs. The Bavarian Zipfel bobsled (it is really has that funny name in Germany too: "Zipfelbob") glides in a straight line on downhills, thanks to two molded rails on the underside of its slightly concave, high-density polyethylene frame that also allow you to make slalom-like turns in either groomed snow or fresh powder simply by leaning. Stopping is as simple as digging your heels in the snow.
