Microsoft is rumored to launch three services for Windows based mobile phones at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona. NeoWin reports that Microsoft SkyBox, SkyLine, and SkyMarket are the current codenames of the cloud services for WinMo phones.
Microsoft SkyBox is offering Windows Mobile users what iPhone users can have with MobileMe plus automatic backup of their phones.
Microsoft SkyLine is supposed to be a service that adds features to SkyBox for small businesses like Microsoft Exchange integration.
Microsoft SkyMarket already appeared in September and is an App Store clone.
The problem with Apple's MobileMe service is that it costs money. If Microsoft wants some adoption they should rather give the new services away for free. It will no doubt require getting a Microsoft Live account, which is enough pain to endure.
