The NVIDIA Microsoft Windows Mobile Smartphone rumor is still alive as we get closer to the MWC 2009. Last November the rumor about a NVIDIA chipset powered Microsoft smartphone appeared.
According to CNET analyst Broadpoint AmTech speculates that Microsoft is using the NVIDIA Tegra in an upcoming Microsoft Smartphone.
Microsoft still says that they are not making a smartphone and that they are focusing on mobile OS and services as they have been doing.
The NVIDIA Tegra integrated computer on a chip solution is of course aimed at use in new Windows powered smartphones. It is competing with Qualcomm Snapdragon, which Toshiba is using in the new Toshiba TG01.
I believe Microsoft, that they will not make their own Microsoft phone. I cannot imagine that they will jeopardize the huge eco system of Windows Mobile hardware partners.
