The last time we published something about the Sony PS4 was in 2006. Amidst the disappointing sales of the Sony PS3 it is kind of weird to think about the next generation Sony Playstation. As Sony always claims the PS3 has a 10 year life span the Sony PS4 should still be a couple more years away.
Ars Technica pulls our attention to the Sony PS4 with a rumor about Intel having been able to sell Sony on the Larrabee GPU for the PS4.
The rumor is not without question marks and could be totally wrong. Intel has been trying in general to generate some hype around the fabled Larrabee GPU. DreamWorks Jeffrey Katzenberg just recently talked up LarraBee in an interview about the 3D Super Bowl promotions.
Sony should obviously be focused right now on how to leverage the already amazing hardware inside the PS3 to turn on the hype again for their current offering.
