Acer will get into the smartphone business and will unveil their line-up at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona mid-February. A couple of days ago the first blurry photo of what is supposed to be an Acer smartphone leaked. Now Slashgear found two more that appeared on a Vietnamese site.
The Acer DX650 is a dual-sided Windows Mobile smartphone, with a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen on one side and a OLED display and keypad on the other.
The Acer X960 Windows Smartphone has a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, 3G HSDPA, WiFi b/g, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash.
Neither of these Acer phones are really exciting and both are very similar to Glofiish models that are already available. Acer bought E-Ten the maker of the Glofiish smartphones last year to get some phone smarts inhouse.
Let us hope Acer has something more exciting than the DX650 and X960 at the MWC 2009 next week.
The Mobile World Congress 2009 (MWC 2009) is starting on February 16th and lasts until the 19th. The MWC 2009 (former 3GSM) takes place again in Barcelona.
