Nokia is apparently thinking about entering the laptop market. Nokia's CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said in an interview to Finnish national broadcaster YLE yesterday that the company is very actively looking into this opportunity.
Nokia has been rumored to enter the notebook market since last year. It is no wonder as netbooks are now sold by carriers with 3G data contracts all over the world and Nokia could enter this market with their established relationships.
Nokia already makes Linux based Wifi Internet Tablet (N810). A notebook or netbook is not that much of a difference.
As long as Nokia keeps Symbian off their planned notebook (I actually recommend killing off Symbian) their foray into the computer market could actually be successful.
