MSI announce a new internet device dubbed MSI Winki. MSI says the Winki is a new internet interactive device without an operating system.
Winki is still based on an OS we all know called Linux. The small device offers functions like built-in web browsing, immediate communication, VOIP calls, photo searching and more common PC functions.
Winki leverages a Linux base, but MSI has all installations and settings simplified and made more straightforward - by simply connecting an onboard USB Pin-header and going through a brief set of system settings, you apparently can begin to take advantage of Winki.
MSI states that the MSI Winki starts up faster, uses less power, and will not have problems caused by virus like other full OS devices.
MSI only published screen shots of the Winki User interface, but there are no photos and hardware details of the actual Winki device yet.
