I once made the mistake of calling Panasonic's micro four thirds cameras DSLRs, which is an easy mistake to make considering they look like DSLRs and have interchangeable lenses. The problem is that the micro four thirds cameras lack a mirror box, which is apparently required to be a DSLR.

Anyway, Panasonic has let loose a few details of its coming DMC-GH1 micro four thirds camera that will feature 1080p video capability. The camera is set to hit the Japanese market on April 24th in a bundle selling for somewhere near $1500 with a kit lens.

Said kit lens is a 14-140mm lens. The cam will record video at 24 fps and shoots still shots at 12MP resolution. Official pricing and launch date in areas other than Japan are unknown at this time. The camera seems expensive to me considering you can get a DSLR for less with the same basic features.
