If we needed anymore proof that the iPhone can do anything here it is. Alarm.com has announced a new app for the iPhone that allows it to remotely arm and disarm the security system in a home or building and view real-time surveillance video on the iPhone.
The app connects users to their alarms from anywhere and can view the individual doors, windows and other monitored areas that are unsecured. Real time text messages can be sent to sensors via the iPhone when an event is detected that matters.
Texts can be sent when a door opens, when kids get home, the garage door is left open or when access to a liquor cabinet is made. The app can even inform of water leaks. An Alarm.com account is required to use the app.
