Netflix is putting some hurt on traditional movie rental firms like Blockbuster. The company also offers streaming content with a library of 12,000 movies and TV shows that can be accessed via various set top boxes and other home entertainment devices like the Xbox.
Microsoft and Netflix announced this week that users of Windows Vista Home Premium and Vista Ultimate can now stream Netflix content directly through Windows Media Center. A new tile is located under the Movies + TV tab that lets users enter Netflix account info.
According to Microsoft, those already using the streaming service via their Xbox can also stream content over WMC at the same time. Another nice feature is that all the controls of the WMC Netflix interface can be operated via a media center remote from across the room.
