Nintendo has announced the latest addition to the Personal Trainer software series called Personal Trainer: Walking. Most of us can just look out the windows on any given day and find people walking around the neighborhood for exercise. The new Personal Trainer: Walking software for the Nintendo DS and DSi allows those who walk for exercise or fun to keep track of their walking.
The game allows users to count and measure steps like a basic pedometer with much more detailed information available. The application charts walking activities and reveals so-called "life rhythm" patterns that show when the user is most active and which meals are typically followed by sedentary periods.
Two activity meter accessories are included with each copy of the software, they record steps during a period of time and can be synched to wirelessly send data to the DS or DSi console. The activity meters can store up to seven days of information and the DS game card can track up to five years of walking data. Four people can track and share their results on a single copy of the software.
