Apple fans, prepare to start salivating. First off we've got corroboration from iLounge via AppleInsider that the iPod Nano will, in fact, be getting a camera. We've also got news that Apple will be releasing the iPhone 2009 in six different configurations.
There will be three different models of iPhone 2009, each with different wireless hardware designed to match up with different wireless networks across the world. Each model will have two different capacity options; 16 GB, or 32 GB. The U.S. version of the iPhone 2009 should pack significantly upgraded wireless technology capable of 7.2Mbps down and 3.6 Mbps up. Each of the three iPhone models will greatly resemble the current iPhone 3G, but with a scratch-resistant matte plastic frame.
Meanwhile, over in iPod land, we're also looking at some big changes. The new iPod nano models should hit stores between July and August. They'll have bigger screens (from a 1.33:1 aspect ratio to 1.5:1). The new cameras will be put on the lower left-hand side of the nano's back. It should have point-and-shoot functionality, and the same basic camera features as the current iPhone.
