The Nokia N97 got unveiled last December. Today Nokia announced the N97 is going on sale world-wide in June.
The Nokia N97 combines a 3.5" touch display with a full QWERTY keyboard.
The Nokia N97 supports up to 48GB of storage, including 32GB of on-board memory, expandable with a 16GB microSD card for music, media, and more.
Other feature highlights of the Nokia N97 include 5MP camera, DVD quality video recording, 1.5 days continuous music playback, Nokia Music store support, HSDPA, Wi-fi, A-GPS sensors and an electronic compass.
"The Nokia N97 is an important step towards our vision of delivering a highly personalized Internet experience," said Jonas Geust, Vice President and head of Nokia Nseries. "Fuelled by a multitude of music, maps, games, media and applications via Ovi, the Nokia N97 transforms the Internet into an experience that's completely tailored to the tastes and interests of its owner."
The Nokia N97 is one powerful smartphone, but it does not carry the excitement that the Palm Pre and the iPhone have. Nokia still has a lot of fans, but for me Symbian is on its way out.
