The iPhone rumors intensify quite a bit now, just days before the WWDC 2009 keynote on Monday. The Financial Times (Via AppleInsider) just released a report saying that Apple is going to announce a cheaper iPhone at the WWDC 2009.
According to the FT, Morgan Stanley analyst Kathryn Huberty sees a $50 or $100 price-cut for the iPhone.
These anticipated price-cuts would result in $99 or $149 iPhones.
I am not that excited about iPhone price-cuts as in Europe you get the iPhone 3G for 1 Euro in most countries. So pricing is just a matter of the carrier's offerings.
With a cheaper iPhone with rumored 4GB or 8GB configuration Apple would make room for more high-end iPhones to start finally diversifying the iPhone line. iPhone Pro anyone?
