A whole new family of MacBook Pros are hitting the streets, and that means Apple is eager to get rid of all of their last generation MacBooks. They just sent notice to all of their stores that the old model MacBooks are to be sold off as quickly as possible on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Prices are going to vary based on which store you go to, but discounts on the old model MacBooks should be pretty significant. You can expect to get $100-300 off on 13” MacBooks, $400-800 off on MacBook Airs, and $400-500 off of MacBook Pros.

Apple has also started giving a 3% discount on their just-announced line of MacBook Pros. If you buy online, the instant discount is added once you put your new Pro into the shopping cart. When you're talking about $1200-$2000+ machines, 3% is pretty significant. If you're in the market for a new laptop from Apple, now is the time to get it.
