A large part of any gadget's appeal is in its design. I'm not talking about how many rhinestones are embossed on the sides, or how much chrome was poured into the case, it's the ergonomic layout that makes some gadgets great, and others just silly. The Sanyo Xacti CG11 HD Camera (via Boy Genius) falls into both of those categories.

The Xacti doesn't look like any other camera on the market. It is designed like a gun, with an elongated handle that terminates in a 'barrel' filled with camera parts. All you have to do is draw, point, click, and shoot. This simple (and seemingly durable) design makes the Xacti look like the perfect travel camera.

The CG11 is just the latest model in this peculiar line. It has a 10 megapixel camera that can record video in 720p. The camera is capable of 5x Optical Zoom and comes with Anti-Shake, plus a stereo mike. This beauty is only available in Japan, but it also only costs $318.
