Apple Said To Cause NAND Flash Supply Shortage Again

Apple announced last week new iPods. Of course these new iPods need new NAND chips, especially the new 64GB iPod touch.
Digitimes reports today that the major NAND chip makers informed Taiwanese manufacturers that there is a shortage because of Apple's orders for flash chips.
Digitimes bases this report on sources. The prices at the DRAMeXchange actually did not rise that dramatically yet. Flash shortages come and go.
With the whole no camera in the new iPod touch controversy, the new touch may not really fly of the shelves. Of course if China goes nuts about the iPhone that alone could trigger a NAND shortage.
