Kopin Golden-i Wearable Microdisplay: Cyberpunk As Hell

Have you ever wanted to look like an extra in a cheesy sci-fi channel movie (starring Bruce Campbell)? If so, Kopin's new headset might be for you. At first glance, the Golden-i looks like a very overbuilt mic+headset combo. That impression dies as soon as you notice the .34" SVGA display built into the headband.
That's right; the Golden-i is a full-on wearable computer with Bluetooth, Windows CE 6.0, 6 GB of memory and microSD support. It has (presumably) some sort of accelerometer, because The Inquirer (Via Engadget) says that you navigate using head movements as well as (less-effective) voice commands. Kopin isn't ready to release yet, but they say that the price should come in "under $2,000", which isn't at all reassuring.
So, ignoring the undeniable fact that this thing LOOKS awesome, how practical is it? You can link it to your smartphone via Bluetooth, but will that let you use smartphone AR applications with your headset? That's about the only major use I can see for these. Having a constant AR feed right over your eyes would be pretty amazing, though.
