After (likely erroneous) reports this morning that Verizon was dropping the Palm Pre, Palm Inc. has released a statement that they will be working with "additional wireless carriers" (thanks, Bloomberg) in 2010. Palm refused to say whether or not this announcement was in response to the rumors, but it's fairly obvious that they were.

When the Pre comes out on additional carriers, it will likely be after May, around the start of Summer. Palm won't be working with additional carriers until the second half of 2010, which means Q3 or, less likely, Q4 releases. It's likely that Verizon will be one of these carriers, but Palm clearly said carriers, which means that VZW can't be alone. Anyone want to start making guesses?
