Alright, Android fans, we've got a fresh plate of rumors for you all to dig into today. The folks from Android and Me visited the MotoDev and CTIA conferences last week and had a chance to talk to some industry bigwigs. They gained some interesting (albeit unconfirmed) info for their troubles.

Most interesting was the news, allegedly from a Sprint developer's mouth, that their first 4G phone will rock Android. The carrier is supposed to roll out their 4G network in early 2010, so this could mean we're only a few months away from blazing fast internet on next-gen Android phones.

While 4G and Android will be meeting up soon, Android 2.0 appears to be a ways off. An executive from Samsung who claimed to be knowledgeable about Android development said not to expect Eclair until Q2 2010. This seems like a long time to wait, especially considering the upcoming release of the Motorola Droid. It's very possible the Droid will pack Android 1.6 instead of 2.0, but I won't believe it until I see it.

In addition to these two rumors, Android and Me managed to uncover information that INQ Mobile will be producing an Android smartphone in 2010. It will feature a highly customized ( "pimped out" was the description given) UI filled with social networking utilities. In addition, LG's first U.S. Android smartphone is supposed to be announced at the 2010 CTIA show.
