Today Amazon.com has announced the coming of "Local Express Delivery", a new option that will allow customers to receive their packages on the same day that they order them. This service is currently only available in a limited number of cities, but Amazon should be expanding it regularly. You'd expect a service like this to cost two arms and half of a leg, but the price is set at a mere $5.99 for Amazon Prime members.
In order to take advantage of the service, users will have to live in one of seven accepted cities. New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Las Vegas, and Seattle residents will be the first customers to benefit from this new option. Amazon will expand this service to Chicago, Indianapolis, and Phoenix in the next few months.
Users who want to take advantage of Local Express Delivery will need to order early. Most cities require the orders be sent in before 11 AM, although Seattle allows you to order as late as 1 PM. A full list of exact times can be found here.
