Epson is probably best known by most of us for its line of printers and scanners. The company makes a range of other gear too, including home theater projectors and picturing viewing devices for pro photographers. Epson has announced that it's P-6000 and P-7000 multimedia photo viewers now feature tethering.
The ability to tether to the camera as the photographer is shooting allows them to be able to see their images immediately and save them as they are shot to streamline the backup process. The DSLR camera has to connect to the Epson viewers via a USB cable and the image is automatically saved to the viewer.
The P-6000 and P-7000 are not cheap devices with a retail price of $599.99 and $799.99 respectively. The main difference between the two is storage capacity with the cheaper device having 60GB and the more costly one offering 160GB of storage.
