Nikkei.Net reports about a natural disaster protection bed to be marketed by Paag Co. in Japan.
The Earthquake shelter bed BEX-1 has a head board that swings upward and can be fixed horizontally above the user's head to protect against falling objects.
The bottom of the sideboards opens to let the person under the bed. The steel frame disaster bed can withstand a weight of 2 tons/m2.
