As reported a couple days ago Sony released today the firmware 2.0 for the Sony PSP. I was checking all day until the page finally updated in the last hour or so.
I have downloaded the 16MB update file for the japanese Sony PSP. I do not know if this update will work on a US Sony PSP. So try on your own risk. I have a Japanese release PSP so I do not have this issue.
The EBOOT.PBP files needs to copied to the memory stick under the folder PSP/GAME/UPDATE
After that try to access the memory stick from the menu. The PSP is then
detecting the update. After confirming a license agreement the update process starts.
I was waiting for the WPA-PSK support to connect to my wireless infrastructure. So far I could not get it to connect. It
throws an 8011042 error. A error message would be nice. If anybody knows this
error, please email me. So I have to play with that a bit longer ot finally browse I4U News on my Sony PSP.
Below more screenshots from the browser.
Update:
I made several photos of the Sony PSP browser displaying web sites like Gizmodo, Engadget, Playboy to name a view. You can view them in this gallery.
UPDATE:
