Mitsubishi Heavy takes orders for their wakamaru humanoid robot.

We mentioned the wakamaru robot first in 2003, when it appeared at the Robodex show.
wakamaru is 1m tall, weighs 30kg, recognizes 10 faces, understands 10,000 words and moves around on wheels. He can manage your calendar, watch the house and watch the owner.
The wakamaru robot is expected to sell for about 1.58 million Yen ($14,300). Wonder if they sell it in different colors. The yellow would not fit to my carpet. More details on BBC News and on the wakamaru product page.
