Google leads the rumors in the technology business this week. Based on a story on Times Online, Google plans a global Google controlled parallel Internet.
That is why Google has been buying dark fiber. A year ago the theory was that Google is using the dark fiber for a VOIP service. A strange coincident is that the source for that theory was also the Times Online.
Of course users will be using the rumored Google PC (aka Google Cube) to access the Google Internet. Definitely an interesting theory, but a rumor at this point never the less.
Google is also supposed to be working on personal finance site. More details on CNET.
New details have emerged about the Sony PS3 from a magazine called PSM. According to the magazine the Sony PS3 will have DVR functionality and other media center features. This would imply that the Playstation 3 would have a hard-drive and maybe a Tuner. I would classify this information as wild speculation. See coverage on Joystiq for more details.
Blurry photos of the rumored HP rw6828 iPAQ have appeared on mobility today. The HP rw6828 iPAQ is supposed to be an adoption of the Xda Atom Pocket PC Phone.
