More Other Stuff News
Last week our rumor report was all about Apple. There is no progress on the mentioned Apple rumors. So we look at some other rumors that have popped up in the last days.
A report by Merill Lynch was the source for several Sony PS3 related speculations. First the analyst report says the PS3 could cost about $900 to build. This is not too much of a concern as Sony would have to subsidize the cost.
More concerning is that Merill Lynch also talks about a delay of the Sony PS3 that would put the launch of the next generation Playstation into 2007 for the United States. For Japan they would still see an autumn 2006 release date. More details in the Merrill Lynch report (pdf) Via CNET.
There are also some Xbox 360 news. DirecTV is supposed to be available in the Xbox 360 dashboard, which would enable xBox 360 users to download TV series in HD. More details on Joystiq.
We already reported about the rumor that Amazon is supposed to launch a digital music store and an Amazon branded mp3 player.
Ok, here is one new Apple rumor for this week as well. Apple is supposed to launch a 17 inch version of its MacBook Pro by June says Apple Insider.
