Mark Cutkosky and his team at the Stanford University in California developed a gecko robot that can climb up glass windows.
The scientists developed controllable sticky feet from an elastomer. The video of the Stickybot climbing up a window is awesome. The toes of the little climbing robot roll up and then extend and stick to the window.
Of course the military is interested to get this technology onto gloves for soldiers. I want a window cleaning robot. Let's see how long it takes until the Stickybot has a Squeegy in one paw.
