I never saw bird droppings on the Starship Enterprise. A realistic detail the series designers forgot.
While scanning the Discovery for damages, NASA astronauts found bird droppings on the surface of the Shuttle. We all know that bird droppings are sticky, but I did not think they would stay on when blasting into space.
NASA says the droppings definitely disintegrate when entering the earth atmosphere.
I guess they never have to wash the Space Shuttle.
More details in the Washington Post and on Bild (German).
