I guess if Nintendo didn't want people to find out about its Wii WiFi site prematurely, they shouldn't have just had a URL extnesion of wifi.html. That's what numerous people discovered recently, and it contained a few details about Wii's online service that Nintendo apparently didn't want to let everyone know about just yet. They've removed the link in question.
Most of the details were details we had already assumed to be true, and this page made it official. For example, the site says, "If you have a wireless broadband connection, Wii is ready to connect right out of the box. And best of all, it's free to connect via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and take on all comers!"
The site also declares "After you follow an intuitive setup process, you'll be ready to play games online in no time." You'll also be using that very friendly "friend code" system that was unveiled for the DS.
Also shown were a couple titles that will have Wii WiFi connectivity -- Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and Super Smash Bros Dojo. I'm a bit interested in the second title. Nintendo has referred to their Wii Smah Bros title as "Super Smash Bros Brawl", so I'm not sure if Dojo is a previous name or one that is being planned to replace Brawl.
