RIM Officially Announces Blackberry Pearl

Lots of information about the new compact and stylish Blackberry 8100 aka Pearl already has came to light over the last couple of days. Today Research in Motion officially revealed their new Pearl.
RIM's goal was to develop one of the smallest smartphones available. The Blackberry Pearl measures 4.2"x1.97"x.57" and weighs 3.1 ounces.
The quad-band GSM/GPRS and EDGE-enabled mobile phone and email device features also a built-in 64MB flash memory, color screen with 240x260px resolution, a 1.3MP camera with 5x digital zoom, mp3 and video player, microSD card slot, Voice Activated Dialing, MP3 and MIDI ringtones and Bluetooth.
The Blackberry Pearl will be available from T-Mobile USA in the United States beginning September 12th. That is only 5 days away!
It will also be available in October from Rogers Wireless in Canada and a variety of carriers in Europe. Availability in Asia-Pacific and Latin America is expected later this year.
