The timing is not ideal for this court ruling in favor for Sony, as it might have an effect on the import of Japanese Sony PS3 consoles.
In 2005 Sony pursued legal action to stop Lik-Sang from selling Sony PSP consoles into the UK and European Union. Now a judge in the UK ruled in favor of Sony. This only covers the UK for now. Now Sony apparently tries to get the EC covered too.
Lik-Sang does not know if this ruling also will affect the Sony PS3 imports that would start in a couple of weeks. It would be a hard blow to European Sony fanboys and fangirls to not be able to get their hands on a PS3 when it comes out.
Only early adopters import. There is really no need to protect these consumers. They know what they are doing and are aware of region-codes and Japanese manuals.
As reported Lik-Sang offers pre-orders for the Sony PS3.
