Market research analyst NDP reveals first estimates on CNBC (via GamesIndustry.biz) on US Christmas sales of the new video game consoles.
NDP says that the Xbox 360 sold about 2 million times followed by the Nintendo Wii with 1.8 million and far off the Sony PS3 with 750,000 consoles.
The Xbox 360 stock was plentiful this holiday season and there were great bundle deals. The 2nd spot for the Wii is to be seen as a success, as the Wii just started and was not that easy to find in stock and still is hard to find.
Final numbers are expected end of the month from NDP. Maybe Microsoft or Nintendo will release their sales numbers before.
