Apple announced the already previewed Apple ITV as Apple TV today at the Macword 2007.
The Apple TV has a 40GB HDD (yes!) and supports 720p HD video. Apple TV features 802.11b/g/n connectivity and runs on an Intel CPU and streams from up to 5 PCs.
This looks like the best and most usable solution to get video onto your big TV in the living room. I also like the SlingCatcher to finally be able to watch US cable TV here in Europe in my living room.
The Apple TV sells for $299 and starts shipping in February. Pre-order is available now on the Apple store.
Thanks go out to great live coverage of MacRumor and Engadget.
