Jack Trenton from Sony did an interview with Electronic Gaming Monthly early in January where he says he will give anyone who can find a PS3 on store shelves that has been there more than five minutes $1200.
Seems this guy owes me $2400 as both my local Best Buy and my local Wal-Mart have had 60GB versions sitting there for the last few weeks. According to Engadget EGM called BS on Jack and phoned up local retailers finding that 9 out of 18 had PS3 on the shelves with one store having 20 of them. So take this as a challenge dear readers, find a PS3 on local store shelves and demand you $1200 form dear old Jack over at Sony. I wonder if instead of $1200 they will just let us kick him in the stones. Story and image via Engadget
