Hong Kong Gadget shop Brando just emailed me information about a new mobile phone they have in their shop. The Nokir E828 touch screen GSM mobile phone.
Nokir, as it is written on the phone reads at the first glance as Nokia. The phone also has the Nokia design language. Nokia sure is not happy about this knock-off.
Would you buy such an obvious knock-off? I would actually not do it. Sure it has a novelty character, but it is a copy-cat that rides Nokia's brand recognition.
The Nokir E828 GSM phone feature-set includes a 2.6 inch QVGA touch screen, 2MP camera, microSD card slot, MP3 player, MP4 video player and java games.
Measurements of the Nokir are 110x55x14mm. You get only a Chinese manual and no Bluetooth.
More details on the Brando product page where it sells for $200.
