Caterpillar Robot Reconnects Itself When Taken Apart

Scientists at the University of Southern California have invented a SuberBot as part of research designed to help robots heal themselves when damaged which sounds like how the Terminator came to be to me.
These little magnetic cubes are able to find the other cubes when they are separated via an artificial intelligence application. When together the cubes move like a caterpillar happily on their way. Check out a somewhat creepy video after the jump.
