IBM revealed in a brief press-release that they started to manufacture a new CELL CPU based on the 65nm technology.
Back in January we already reported about that the 65nm CELL CPU is in the works.
IBM did not reveal any technical details in this release. Based on our earlier coverage of the 65nm PS3 CPU, the chip would feature a dual power supply, which enhances SRAM stability and performance using an elevated array-specific power supply, while reducing the logic power consumption.
There is no information on when Sony will introduce the new 65nm CELL CPU in the Playstation 3.
See the IBM press-release for reference.
